Frank Millett Era Reunion- 1982 to 1998

Over 80 members of the Beaconhills community from the founding years between 1982 and 1988 – students, staff and parents - gathered at the College on Saturday 4th October to help the Class of 1988 celebrate their 20th Anniversary since their HSC days. A large selection of photos from the era were on display in the auditorium and each Class from 1986 through to 1991 had their own gathering spot. The reunion had, in fact, flushed out many photographs that the College was unaware of, including the Final Days of the HSC Classes in 1987 and 1988 and their Valedictory Dinners, held at the time in the original Graphics Room near the original Home Economics area.

For many of those present it had been 20 or more years since they had last seen the College, so it was something of a surprise to see the extent of the development since the 1980s. The tours of the school were a highlight of the afternoon as everyone got their bearings and tried to recall the school as it had been.

The occasion was made more special by the fact that the Foundation Principal, Frank Millett, and all the foundation staff, including his wife Joy , were able to join with the alumni and parents on the day.

The Class of 1989 is already busy making preparations for their 20-year reunion in 2009 and the Classes of 1987 and 1988 are planning follow-up reunions as well  to encourage even more of their class members to attend in the future.
